Brow Lift for Men
Because of the strength of the face muscles in the brow of men, they can be more prone to wrinkling and the appearance of aging in this area of their face. While similar to a brow lift for a women, doing an effective brow lift for men requires a deep understanding of facial structure and nuances that related to men. This procedure addresses deep lines and wrinkles across the forehead and aims to bring a more youthful, refreshed appearance.

Who Should Consider A Brow Lift?
The majority of brow lift patients are in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. However, a brow lift can be helpful for anyone dealing with sagging skin above the brow or deep forehead wrinkles caused by the daily stresses of life and endless muscle contractions. Patients unhappy with genetic conditions such as a heavy brow also come to Dr. Feledy for a brow lift in Washington DC.
Brow Lift Surgery
For your brow lift procedure, you will be placed under general anesthesia. Dr. Feledy will begin your brow lift by making an incision just below your hairline in order to minimize visibility of any scarring. The skin is then re-draped over your forehead for smooth contouring and excess skin is trimmed away. Dr. Feledy will also tighten the underlying muscles and tissue that have become loose or weakened. A brow lift is often combined with additional facial plastic surgeries in order to address signs of aging in other areas of the face as well. During your consultation with Dr. Feledy, you may also decide to undergo eyelid surgery, a facelift and/or neck lift. These can all be performed in one surgery or you may choose to have them completed in different sessions.
Recovering From Your Brow Lift
Following your brow lift surgery, it may take a week or so before returning to your everyday routine. Most patients are able to return to work after about 10 days. More strenuous activity and exercise should be limited for the first month until you are back to your usual strength. It may take a couple of weeks for any bruising or swelling to fade away, but once you are all healed, you will be able to enjoy the rejuvenating results of your surgery.
